Sharon Rich, Gainesville, GA
Sharon has been a volunteer for BVL for many years; however, her fellow association members credit her with being a creative thinker.
Following her recent success with the creation of a Turkey Tournament, which raised several thousand dollars, she followed up on an idea from Dee Braun, President of the Georgia State USBC WBA. Sharon organized a Vote for Your Favorite Sumo Wrestler campaign featuring Sharon, Dee and Association Manager Betty Jean Anderson. This fun campaign encouraged voters to make a contribution to BVL. Each even had their own campaign managers Vickie Rawlins, Jo Ann Brassell and Sharra Culver. At the Georgia State Meeting, the association recognized the ladies for their work, and the results were tallied. Betty Jeans campaign collected $216.13, Dees campaign netted $2033.25, and Sharons was the winner with $3303.00!
Thanks, Sharon, for showing the Georgia ladies some fun and helping our veterans along the way.
