BVL Bowling Center of the Month:
Lyric Lanes and Theatre

For Lyric Lanes in Eureka, S.D., supporting BVL is a way of life. For years, proprietor Victoria Lapka has spearheaded the BVL campaign in their community. “We have a lot of veterans in the area – including my dad and my husband – so we certainly believe in the cause!” explains Lapka. Lapka also understands the value of BVL and the programs the organization delivers. “We’ve seen our contributions at work at our VA facility – they really appreciate the BVL funding for all the extras that make life more enjoyable… We also make it a point to see Re-Creation when they tour through here – we think they’re just great!”

Lyric Lanes staff makes sure that the BVL poster is up all the time in the center, so their customers understand the BVL cause. “It’s not a one time a year event at Lyric – it’s an all year long process.” Lapka also works with the ladies American Legion Auxiliary in Eureka which also helps out in the fund-raising events.
